Aleksa's dam, *ALEKSJA, is the dam of Canadian Reserve National Champion English Pleasure ALEKSJON, U.S. National Champion Country Pleasure AH ALEKSANDRA, and stakes-winning racehorse SEEKING AH. *ALEKSJA’s daughter ALEJA is the dam of 1993 Polish National Champion Mare ALEJKA.
*ALEKSJA is by CZORT, one of Poland's most successful racehorses. He won 13 of his 19 starts, including 6 stakes (with two victories in the prestigious Criterium Stakes). CZORT was a highly successful racehorse sire as well with get including Polish Oaks and Derby winner SANTA, Polish Oaks winner BAJRA, Polish Derby and Criterium winner *KREZUS (himself sire of Oaks, Derby and Criterium winner *ORGIA), Polish Derby winner SABBAT, and Polish Derby and Criterium winner *PIERROT.
CZORT's son *SAMBOR++ is a U.S. National Champion Racehorse, a multi-regional winner in park and halter, a sire of 3 National winners in performance and of SAMTYR, the leading American racehorse sire for many years. *SAMBOR++ is also the maternal grandsire of U.S. and Canadian National Champion Stallion MS SANTANA.
CZORT is perhaps best known as the sire of U.S. National Champion Stallion *EL PASO, sire of 14 National winners including U.S. National Champion Mare *WIZJA and Polish National Champion Stallion and National Champion sire *EUROPEJCZYK. A total of 8 CZORT get produced National winners. CZORT is a paternal brother to U.S. National Champion Park and National winner sire *EL MUDIR, and his dam FORTA produced more race winners than any other Polish mare, as well as National winners in halter and english pleasure.
ALGONKINA, is considered to be one of Poland's most influential and treasured foundation broodmares. Her legacy includes some of the world's most beautiful Kuhailan-bred Arabians and prominent race winners. Her nine foals include: 1) ALGOA (by Czort) a bay mare foaled in 1964 and was the Polish Oaks Winner and Criterium Winner; 2) ALGORAB (by Mir Said) a bay stallion foaled in 1965. He was a U.S. National Champion Race Horse and Regional Champion in Park, Halter, and English Pleasure. He was named the 1970 and 1972 Race horse of the Year; 3) ALLAHABAD (by Czort) a bay stallion foaled 1967. He was U.S. National Champion Race Horse and Regional Champion in Halter and English Pleasure; 4) *ALEKSJA (by Czort) a bay mare foaled in 1968. She was exported to the U.S. and sold for $210,000 at the Lasma V Sale in 1983; 5) *ALEGORIA (by Czort) a bay mare foaled in 1970. She was exported to the U.S. 6) ALGERIA (by Celebes) a bay mare foaled in 1971. She was the Polish National Champion Mare and the "Queen" of Janow Podlaski Stud for many years. 7) *ALGORADA (by Celebes) a bay mare foaled in 1972. She was exported to the U.S. and later sold for $230,000 at the Lasma Invitational Sale in 1984. 8) ALGOMEJ (by Celebes) Bay stallion foaled in 1973. He was the chief sire in Poland and Sweden. He was the 1982 Swedish National Champion and the Polish National Reserve Champion Stallion. 9) *ALPAGA (by Celebes) Bay mare foaled in 1974. She was exported to the U.S. as a yearling and produced a number of exceptionally nice foals.
ALGONKINA is by National Champion sire *PIETUSZOK (sire of daughters who produced National winners) out of ALGA, also dam of National winner producer *ALA. This is the same dam line as that of U.S. Reserve National Champion Mare, U.S. Top Ten Park and National winner producer *BOLTONKA++, Canadian National Champion Stallion and National winner sire *BUSZMEN, and National winner producers *BUFA and *BUSOLA.
